Protect Your Memories Before They Fade

Old printed photographs become more fragile every year. Digitizing them today helps preserve them for generations while making them easy to organize, share, and enjoy. But it can feel like a big project to get started.

Your family photos are irreplaceable, yet most scanning services make you box them up and ship them off to some unknown destination, leaving you to pray for the best. What if you could have them professionally scanned from the comfort and security of your own home?

Scan@Home offers mobile in-home photo scanning with simple pricing. Your photos carefully scanned on-site. It's the safest, most convenient way to preserve your memories for future generations.

Rowan, founder of SCAN@HOME

About Me

My name is Rowan. I'm a native San Diegan headed off to college next year. I was asked to digitize my own family photos and quickly learned how uncomfortable it can feel to send irreplaceable memories away to a faceless scanning company.

I started Scan@Home around a simple idea: digitizing your photos should be convenient and stress-free. Your documents should be handled with care, transparency, and respect. By scanning on-site, I help families preserve their history without worrying about the safety of the originals.

Every appointment is personal, local, and focused on making the process feel safe, simple, and professional. I look forward to helping you preserve your memories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you scan documents other than photos?

Yes, I can scan standard, non-rigid documents up to letter size (8.5x11 inches) on-site.

Can you scan negatives and slides and larger photos or documents?

I can often have other items scanned at a local lab with no markup and a reasonable delivery fee. When you get in touch, simply let me know what your needs are and I can offer you a quote.

Can you scan at a lower resolution for less money?

I don't recommend scanning at 300dpi or anything lower than 600dpi. Ideally, this is the only time you'll scan your documents in your lifetime, so the goal should be printable, archival-quality scans. Other services offer lower resolution scans to confuse you about pricing at the expense of quality and longevity.

What kind of scanner do you use?

I use a EpsonĀ® FastFoto FF-680W high-speed photo scanner. It's a professional-grade scanner that can scan photos at up to 600 DPI.

Do you offer an off-site option?

Yes. The off-site option is $75 and includes pickup and drop-off from your doorstep. That includes the first 150 photos and a USB drive. Additional documents are scanned at $0.45 each.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Just click any of the buttons on this page and complete the contact form to share a few details about your project. I'll follow up to confirm the details and schedule your appointment.
